WELCOME
The Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area is a 4800 acre day use natural area located just south west of the city of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. The Conservation Area is dedicated to protecting habitat and providing space for native species of wildlife; offering conservation education programs (particularly to young people) without jeopardizing wildlife and habitat; and managing human use of the Area through 'entry by appointment only.'
The Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area is the proud recipient of the 2002 Emerald Award for education! These awards recognize Albertans for outstanding achievements in projects which protect, preserve, enhance and sustain the environment.

Coyote Scat Project Update Researchers from the University of Calgary have been utilizing the Cross Conservation Area in their Urban and Rural Coyote Research Project. If you are interested, take a look at their Summer/Fall Updates (includes some great pictures!)
Volunteer Party Thanks to all Volunteers who made it to the 17th Annual Volunteer Celebration of Success! We thank all volunteers for their contributions in 2009; volunteers who did not attend the Celebration are welcome to come to Belvedere House and pick up their travel alarm clock Token of Appreciation.
