PURCHASE PARADISE PRESERVED

We are excited to announce that our book Paradise Preserved: The Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by award-winning author, Bruce Masterman, is now in bookstores. This 144-page hardcover book tells the story of our wonderful 4,800-acre conservation area. It is a story of selfless generosity, love of flora and fauna and a vision to preserve a huge chunk of land in the face of encroaching development so that children and others could learn about the natural world and our place in it. Paradise Preserved is beautifully illustrated with more than 100 colour photographs, most of which were taken by Mike Sturk, an extremely talented Calgary photographer. It comes with a DVD of a brief history of the ASCCA and some beautiful images (sold separately for $7 or free with purchase of Paradise Preserved).

At just $29.95, Paradise Preserved is available at major bookstores and at the Cross Conservation Area. All royalties will go to the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area. Please note that if you purchase your book at the Cross Conservation Area, 100% of the proceeds will go to directly to the ASCCA and you will also receive the CD for free.

To order the book online at $29.95, plus shipping and handling, email info@crossconservation.org or call (403) 931-1042.

WILDLIFE CORRIDOR STUDY

Considering Connectivity: Maintaining Critical Landscape Connections for the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area in a Regional Context is a study prepared by the Miistakis Institute and the Faculty of Environmental Design at the University of Calgary for the ASCCA in 2008. The report is an update of a previous wildlife movement study and covers the use of remote wildlife cameras and contains many maps and figures. The report can be purchased for $30, and includes a CD of the report.

To make a purchase or for more information about the study please contact us at info@crossconservation.org or call us at 403-931-1042.
