Coyote Scat Project Update

Researchers from the University of Calgary have been utilizing the Cross Conservation Area in their Urban and Rural Coyote Research Project.  If you are interested, take a look at their Summer/Fall Updates (includes some great pictures!)

Cirsium arvense
Alternate, oblong leaves that have spiny lobes (prickles) all along the outside.  Purple or pink flowers that may be spiny at the top.  Look like pink furry balls on the top of the plant.
