EXPLORE WITH US ON A NATURE DISCOVERY DAY CAMP
Where:
The
Cross Conservation Area is a 4800 acre nature preserve located 1.5 km. S.W. of
the Calgary City limits. Join us for a fun filled week of nature exploration and
conservation! Each day you will embark on a new outdoor adventure and share in
the important lessons of nature by exploring colourful wildflowers, the amazing
mini-world of insects, pond life, birds of prey, and wildlife large and small.
All camps are for children ages 6-9 (must be finished Grade 1).
Imagine
yourself on a Foothills safari, exploring the wonderfully wet and wild world of
pond life, traipsing through the trees of the Aspen Forest, and peeking through
the tall grasses of the prairie. Here you can listen to nature's melodies, the
buzzing of insects, the songs of birds, the hammering of woodpeckers, and the
croaking of frogs. You will need to use your eyes, ears and nose on your nature
adventure. Along with outdoor hikes and games you will also have fun with arts
and crafts at our indoor education center.
