Welcome

The Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area (ASCCA) is a 4,800 acre day use natural area.  It is located just south west of the city of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. The Cross Conservation Area is dedicated to:

  • protecting habitat and providing space for native species of wildlife,
  • offering conservation education programs (particularly to youth) without jeopardizing wildlife and habitat, and
  • managing human use of the ASCCA through 'entry by appointment only’.

The Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area is the proud recipient of the Emerald Award for education! These awards recognize Albertans for outstanding achievements in projects which protect, preserve, enhance and sustain the environment.
