Education Participants

2021 Update. Due to limited staff and resources, and health risk posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially for students who cannot be vaccinated, we do not have the ability to organize week-long school programs or structured day programs at the same volume as years previous. Despite this, we are committed to providing outdoor education experiences and will work with teachers and educators interested in bringing participants of all ages to spend time in nature at the ASCCA. Please complete this Intake Form if you are interested in arranging a visit https://forms.gle/3VK7Q3yPDEuyrNLC9

ue to circumstances beyond our control the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area is unable to fulfill committments to the Open Minds Cross Conservation School classes for the 2021-22 school year. Please contact Campus Calgary Open Minds/CCOM directly  if you would like to pursue a week at another site, or a program in 2022-23.

Welcome to the wonderful world of nature and discovery at the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area (ASCCA).  You will find a great variety of educational programs designed to suit the needs of children of all ages.  We encourage everyone to come out and try one of our programs on for size.  We know it will be a great fit!

Wander through the land of education and discover programs and information for educators and parents designed to help you make the trip to the ASCCA both memorable and rewarding.

Take the opportunity to book your education program now and don’t let the “school” bus pass you by!

We also encourage all education visitors to take action! and support initiatives within your own community and schools.  What better way to put your conservation education into practice!

The Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area is the proud recipient of the Emerald Award for education! These awards recognize Albertans for outstanding achievements in projects which protect, preserve, enhance and sustain the environment.
