Current Opportunities
Habitat Management Assistant (two month term)

Salary and Hours: $16/hour, 35 hours/week
Job Description:
This position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30, and have a valid drivers license.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Habitat Manager to support a variety of wildlife monitoring and habitat restoration projects aimed at preserving and enhancing wildlife habitat within an area protected under the Alberta Wildlife Act.
The youth will play an integral role in assisting with the organization’s grazing program, performing fence-line monitoring and repairs, and conducting habitat surveillance. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to the management of invasive weed species, working alongside volunteers who are actively involved in conservation projects.
The ideal candidate for this position has the desire to pursue or is pursing a career related to natural resource management and/or environmental sciences. Experience working outdoors and with a weed whip, tractor or quad are considered an asset.
